  • POM-CMaterial vergleichen

POM-C is a highly crystalline thermoplastic. It is characterised by an extremely low water absorption, very high measuring stability and optimal processing properties (short-chipping). Because of the favourable properties – high hardness, stiffness and stability combined with good toughness and chemical resistance as well as favourable friction and wear behaviour – POM-C can be used in many cases instead of metallic materials.

    Most important properties

    • Versatile high performance material
    • High stability and hardness
    • Very good cutting properties
    • Dimensional stability
    • Low water absorption
    • Very low creep properties
    • High chemical resistance
    • Good sliding properties
    • Physiologically harmless
  • PSMaterial vergleichen

PS (polystyrene) is a transparent, amorphous or partially crystalline thermoplastic. Amorphous polystyrene is a widely-used plastic which is used in many areas of daily life. Polystyrene is UV sensitive.

    Most important properties

    • Very cost-efficient
    • Available in various colours and surfaces
    • Lightweight
    • Foamed versions also available
    • Temperature-resistant only to a limited extent
  • PMMAMaterial vergleichen

PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate), also known as acryl glass, PLEXIGLAS® or PERSPEX®, is available in cast or extruded quality. Uncoloured it has a translucency of 92 percent.

    Most important properties

    • Temperature resistance (–20 to approx. +80°C)
    • Weather resistance
    • Super-transparent
    • High surface quality
    • Low weight
  • ABSMaterial vergleichen

ABS has a high scratch resistance and very good mechanical properties. This plastic has a high surface- and volume resistance combined with only very low static charge. The physiological harmlessness and the low stress cracking are further advantages.

    Most important properties

    • Excellent stiffness
    • High hardness
    • Temperature resistance (down to –45°C)
    • Low static charge
    • High scratch resistance
    • Physiologically harmless
  • PESMaterial vergleichen

PES (Polyethersulfone) is an amorphous thermoplastic with high temperature resistance.

    Most important properties

    • Temperature resistance (up to 210°C)
    • Hydrolysis resistance (no water absorption)
    • Good electrical properties
  • DiBond ®Material vergleichen

DiBond® is an aluminium composite panel, which was especially developed for modern design ideas, such as the visual communication or casing in the machine construction.

    Most important properties

    • Temperature resistance (–50 to +80°C)
    • Low weight
    • High bending strength
    • Very good sonic properties
    • Excellent varnishing and screen printing properties
