  • POM-CMaterial vergleichen

POM-C is a highly crystalline thermoplastic. It is characterised by an extremely low water absorption, very high measuring stability and optimal processing properties (short-chipping). Because of the favourable properties – high hardness, stiffness and stability combined with good toughness and chemical resistance as well as favourable friction and wear behaviour – POM-C can be used in many cases instead of metallic materials.

    Most important properties

    • Versatile high performance material
    • High stability and hardness
    • Very good cutting properties
    • Dimensional stability
    • Low water absorption
    • Very low creep properties
    • High chemical resistance
    • Good sliding properties
    • Physiologically harmless
  • PSUMaterial vergleichen

Similar to PPSU and PEI, PSU belongs to the group of the amorphous high performance thermoplastics with very good mechanical, electrical and thermal properties for applications with higher service temperatures combined with mechanical stress.

    Most important properties

    • Temperature resistance (up to 180 °C)
    • Very good hydrolysis resistance
    • High chemical resistance
    • Good radiation resistance
  • PPSMaterial vergleichen

PPS is an oxidation- and hydrolysis resistant plastic, which can be used for applications with a service temperature of up to 260°C. PPS has a low sliding friction coefficient and a high abrasion resistance. No water absorption, excellent dimensional stability as well as oil and fuel resistance are further properties. Because of the high hardness tight tolerances are possible.

    Most important properties

    • Temperature resistance (up to 260°C)
    • High stability, hardness and stiffness
    • High chemical resistance
    • Hydrolysis resistance (no water absorption)
    • Excellent dimensional stability
    • Oil and fuel resistance
  • PIMaterial vergleichen

PI (Polyimide) is a crystalline plastic which is suitable for applications in the high and low temperature range.

    Most important properties

    • Temperature resistance (–200 to +300 °C)
    • Very high mechanical hardness
    • High E-modulus

    • Highly inert
    • High acid resistance
    • Low friction coefficient
    • Extremely low surface tension
    • Operation temperature up to 260°C; frost-resistant down to –200°C
  • PPSUMaterial vergleichen

PPSU belongs to the group of the amorphous high performance thermoplastics with very good mechanical, electrical and thermal properties for applications with higher service temperatures combined with mechanical stress.

  • PPMaterial vergleichen

PP is a homopolymeric thermoplastic. Because of its excellent profile of properties – especially the high chemical resistance and corrosion resistance – it is one of the most widely used materials in the chemical apparatus and container construction and has an excellent cost-benefit potential.

    Most important properties

    • High chemical resistance
    • No moisture expansion
    • Good weldable
